Division 7-B <br />Snsulat3on <br />WORKNIANSAIP: Insulation shall be installed by skilled mechanics <br />who shall provide 100% cooperation, with various other trades. <br />Batts shall fit snug and flat to surface. Wall and ceiling <br />insulation must be applied after electrical, plunbing, and air <br />conditioning work are in place. Cut to fit around wires and <br />pipes. Insulation material shall be applied according to the <br />recommendations of the manufacturer. Wall insulation shall be <br />applied to all stud wa11s and shall extend from floor to roof. <br />METAL ROOF: Apply insulation on top of poultry nettinq held <br />securely in place between purlins and metal panels. Cover the <br />entire area Without voids, wrinkles or holes. <br />IACATION OF INSULATION: The following areas shall receive <br />- insulation: <br />Complete enclosure between interior, and exterior <br />unconditioned space and conditioned space, interior stud <br />partitions and all roofs throughout, all ceilings in toilet <br />room, all exterior masonry walls of building, all <br />walls between living area and attic space, and all wall§ of <br />toilet rooms. <br />MASONRY WALL INSULATION: The cavity in all exterior concrete <br />masonry units shall be filled solid with Zonolite Masonry Fill <br />Insulation, applied according to manufacturer's recommendations. <br />Insulation shall be installed every third course (and more <br />frequently where possible) during construction of wa21 to make <br />sure cavities are completely filled. Protect from wind, rain, or <br />other moisture as required. <br />REPAIR DAMAGE: The Contractor shall repair any damage to <br />insulation caused by last minute work of the Electric}an, <br />Plumber, or other mechanics. <br />33 <br />
