Division 9-B <br />Drywall <br />GYPSUM DRYWALL <br />GENERAL: Furnish all labor and materials to install all <br />drywall work shown on plans and described herein. Material <br />- stored on the job shall be neatly stacked in a dry place. <br />As work progresses, waste material shall be removed from <br />the job site, keeping the building and site cleared and <br />orderly. Work in harmony with other trades that need to <br />install bucks, supports, hangers, doors, windows, and <br />installation. Do not apply wall board until all inwall <br />plumbing, electrical and mechanical lines and devices are <br />installed, inspected and approved. Do all cutting of wall <br />board for Plumber and Electrician. Special care shall <br />be taken to "cut to fit" electrical boxes, plumbinq pipes, <br />and A/C devices. <br />GUARANTEE: As called for in General Conditions, the Con- <br />tractor shall guarantee the work of this Division to be <br />free from defects in material and workmanship. <br />SCOPE: This Division shall include the installation and <br />finishing of all gypsum drywall, including: Metal stud <br />framing, susperxded drywall ceiling systems, gypsum board, <br />and the bedding and taping of joints. Gypsum sheathing <br />on studs and facia and M-R board. <br />- MATERIALS: All gypsum materials shall be the products <br />of National Gypsum Co., or.approved equal. <br />GYPSUM BOARD where shown and scheduled shall be fire rated <br />by U.L., 5/8" thick for walls, and 5/8" thick for <br />ceilings where shown and scheduled. All gypsum board <br />shall be 4'-0" wide with tapered edges, and 8'-0" long. <br />M-R BOARD: Moisture resistant gypboard shall be same as <br />above, blue in color, and located as follows: In all. <br />baths, toilets, mop sink and as scheduled. <br />METAL STUDS: Interior nonbearing metal studs shall be <br />galvanized 25 gauge perforated "C" shaped 3-5/8" wide. <br />Exterior wall metal studs shall be galvanized 18 gauge, <br />punched "C" shaped. <br />Metal studs used in bracing and framing of door openings <br />shall be 18 gauge "C" shaped, galvanized 3-5/8" wide <br />as detailed. Double studs at all openings. <br />Provide top and bottom galvanized track for stud con- <br />struction of same size as studs. <br />DRYWALL ACCESSORIES shall be Galvanized Steel and shall <br />include Standard Corner Bead 1" x 1-1/4". <br />CONTROL JOINTS shall be "E-Z" strip expansion joint of <br />extruded vinyl, located 30' on center. <br />
