Division 1 <br />Genaral Requirements <br />PROTECTION OF WORR AND YROPERTY: shall <br />protect his work and all adjoininq p P Y £rom <br />arising in connection with the Contract. <br />He shall protect the Owner against theftmtethels used <br />under this contract whether they be supplied bY <br />Contractor or furnished by the Owner for the Contractor's <br />use. The Contractor shall visit the premises and make sure <br />he understands the conditions under which he must-work. Ae <br />shall take such precaute~~s necessairy <br />existing or nearby pYOp Y and <br />by him, directly or indirectly. <br />BROCHVRES AND SHOP DRAWING3: The Contractor shall submit <br />shop drawings as hereinafter called for. He shall check and <br />approve such drawings as calledfor 1oftshp drawingseshall <br />Conditions. The Architect s approval <br />not relieve the Contractor from responsibility for errors, <br />omissions, and deviation from the requirements of the <br />Contract Documents. Include (4) copies of Shop Drawings, <br />Manufacturer's Brochure, and descriptive data for each item <br />of equipment. On the job measures shall be made by the <br />Contractor. Where equipment or material is substituted for <br />that specified, the Architect shalco iesrofnalltsubmittals. <br />The Architect shall keep two (2). P <br />SOPERINTENDENT AND SOpERVISION: The Contractor shall <br />provide a Superintendent, satisfactory to the Architect <br />during the progress of the work. The Superintendent shall <br />not be changed except with the consent of the Architect, <br />unless the Superintendent proves to be unsatiseR~toTheto <br />the Contractor and ceases to be in his employm <br />Superintendent shall represent the Contractor in his <br />absence and all directions given to him shall be as'bindinq <br />as if given to the Contractor. When requestinstructionsthe <br />importance of directions seems to justify, <br />will be confirmed in writing. The Contractor shall give <br />personal supervision to the work, using his best skill and <br />attention. He shall carefully study and compare drawings, <br />specifications, and other instructions and report to the <br />Architect any error, inconsistency or omission which he may <br />discover. <br />MATERIALS AFPLIANCES EL4PLOYEES: Contractor will furnish <br />all equipment, appliances, and material needed, and if <br />requested, furnish evidence as to the kind and quality. He <br />shall furnish samples of materials as requested for color . <br />selection. He shall not employ on the work any unfit person <br />or anyone not skilled in the work assigned to him.. <br />~q <br />
