Division 1 <br />General Reqnirements <br />CI,EANING: Upon completion of work, The Contractor shall <br />clean in and around the work, remove unused material and <br />refuse and leave the premises neat and clean. He shall <br />employ the services of an experienced window washer and <br />wash all glass and remove all foreign matter. Carpets will <br />be vacuumed, other floors shall be mopped. It shall be the <br />Contractor's responsibility to clean floors and remove all <br />trash and debris when so directed. <br />EBTRAS: Bills for extras will be allowed only when work is <br />ordered in writing. No bills based upon verbal orders will <br />be considered in final settlement unless accompanied with <br />written order from the Owner or Architect. <br />STORAGE: Thi,s Contractor shall be responsible for the <br />storage of his equipment and no additional charge shall be <br />made for storage. <br />COOPER7â–ºTION WITH 09PA7ER: The Owner may take possession of <br />and use any completed or partially completed portion of the <br />work, however, such possession and use shall not be <br />considered an acceptance of the work. If such prior use, <br />other than that scheduled, increases the cost of the work <br />or delays completion, the Contractor shall be entitled to <br />extra compensation or extension of time, or both. Such <br />claims together with supporting data shall be submitted in <br />writing with the next following application for payment. <br />gp,FgTy pRECAUTIONS AND PROGRAbI3: The Contractor shall <br />initiate, maintain, and supervise safety precautions and <br />programs in connection with the Work. Unless otherwise <br />designated in writing by the Contractor, his job <br />superintendent shall be considered responsible for safety <br />and protection on the jobsite. The Contractor shall take <br />reasonable precautions for the safety of and shall provide <br />protection to: <br />All employees on the Work and the Public who may be <br />affected by the Work. <br />The Contractor shall comply with all applicable laws, <br />ordinances, and orders of any public authority having <br />jurisdiction for the safety of persons to protecTO ectiveom <br />injury. The Contractor shall provide temporary p <br />barriers for the safety of the Public in the area of actual <br />work and the area of machinery and storage of materials. <br />Such barriers and areas of work shall be coordinated with <br />the Owner. <br />3 <br />
