MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, APRIL 1, 2013 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, April 1, 2013, <br />was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Richard Hunt, Vice-Chairman. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />James Price <br />Keith Flowers <br />Jerry Akers <br />Richard Hunt <br />Mike Folmar <br />Holland Harper � <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Dennis Chalaire <br />C. Also present were Shawn Napier, Director of Engineering, Planning and <br />Development; Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager; Sue Lancaster, Council Liaison; <br />and Ashley Fendley, Secretary for the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (March 4, 2013) <br />Motion was made by Mike Folmar, seconded by Jerry Akers to approve the meeting <br />minutes for March 4, 2013. Motion carried 6-0. <br />3. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Shatari Investments, <br />L.P., A Texas Limited Partnership for a change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) <br />to a Commercial District (C) with a Specific Use Permit (49) auto fuel sales on Lot 4 of the <br />Paris Town Crossing Addition, being located in the 3000 Block of N. E. Loop 286. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individual spoke in favor of the petition. <br />Ken Baca, 105 YMCA Drive Waxahachie, Texas, represented the property owner; <br />spoke in favor of the petition. Ken Baca stated that Shatari Investments is part of a <br />company called Becton Energy which is a fuel distributor. They have around one <br />hundred and sixty stores; they're branded with Shell, Exxon and Texas Best <br />14 <br />
