Mr. Talley was asked about how much it would cost to have this house <br />demolished. Mr. Talley stated it could be anywhere from $1200 to $3000, that <br />the city was charged by the ton and it would be hard for him to give an accurate <br />dollar figure not knowing how many tons it would be. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a$1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Zac Saffle to follow Robert <br />Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the property in <br />30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a$1000 per day <br />civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />A. 788 E Hickory, City Block 282, Lot 3-A <br />Owner: Murkes Fulbright 814 92"d W St, Los Angeles, CA 90044 <br />Robert Talley has spoken to the owner on 2 occasions and he agrees that it needs <br />to be demolished. There are no back taxes due. <br />Robert Talley showed pictures where the house is unsecure, there is a hole in the <br />roof and the shingles are peeling up. There is an old shed that has collapsed, and <br />the carport is starting to fall. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 60 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a$1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Zac Saffle, seconded by Vicky Ballard to follow Robert <br />Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the property in <br />60 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a$1000 per day <br />civil penalty to the property. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />C. 355 NE 29th, Springlake Addition, Block 4, Lot 5 <br />Owner: Par Trust, C/O JL Moore Trustee, 813 Simmons, Euless, TX 76040 <br />No contact has been made with owner. $5203.57 back taxes owed. <br />Robert Talley showed pictures of the property where it's unsecure, deteriorating, <br />holes in roof, rafters are pushing through the roof and there is junk and rubbish in <br />the yard. Inside the ceiling is buckling and ceiling tiles have fallen. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a$1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Wendell Moore to follow <br />Robert Talley's recommendation for the property owner to demolish the <br />property in 30 days, if not the City has the right to demolish and apply a <br />$1000 per day civil penalty to the property.
