Plarming and Zoning Meeting <br />October 7, 2002 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Joe Iglehart asked if this zoning would allow for a duplex if the <br />alteration shop failed. <br /> <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br />Consideration of and action on the petition of David McLaughlin for a <br />change in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling No. 2 District (SF-2) to <br />a Neighborhood Service District (NS), Lots 45, 47, and 49 and part of <br />Lot 43, Block 2, Lamar Terrace Addition, being number 206 SE 24th <br />Street. <br /> <br />Motion was made to approve by Louis Yates and seconded by Marshall <br />Kent. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 1 nay. ~ <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of Donna Swindle for a change <br />in zoning from a Two-Family Dwelling District (2F) to a Neighborhood <br />Service District (NS), Lot 5, City Block 226-A, being number 664 SE <br />22"d Street. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Ms. Donna Swindle, spoke in favor of the petition stating that she wants <br />to place a beauty shop at her residence. The shop would have one chair. <br />Ms. Swindle presented pictures of other neighborhoods where this type <br />of business existed, stating that she wants to be treated like everybody <br />else. Several letters were presented from people in favor of the shop. <br />Ms. Swindle stated that she would work by appointments only and the <br />operating hours would not be late hours. Ms. Swindle stated that she <br />would build a fence or whatever she may have to or be required to do. <br /> <br />Shirley Swindle spoke in favor of the petition stating that she wants to <br />see her daughter be able to stay home and raise her grandchildren... <br /> <br />Patsy Winn spoke in opposition of the petition stating that she does not <br />want the lot to be rezoned because there is alr_eady too much <br /> <br /> <br />
