MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br /> ZONING COMMISSION <br /> NOVEMBER 4, 2002 <br /> <br /> The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, November 4, 2002, 5:30 <br /> P.M., Paris Junior College, Applied Technology Building, Room 1016, 2400 <br /> Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br /> <br />1. Reeves Hayter 4. Curtis Fendley <br />2. Cleveland L. Thomas 5. Louis Yates, Jr. <br />3. Barbara Forrest 6. Bobby L. Myers <br /> <br />Mattie Cunningham, the city clerk was also present. <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. <br /> <br />1. The October 7, 2002, regular planning and zoning meetings were <br /> approved with a motion by Curtis Fendley and seconded by Bobby L. <br /> Myers. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br /> Chairman Hayter advised the Commission that Eddie Vincent had <br /> called him and tendered his resignation due to health problems. <br /> <br />2. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Ralph Beal for a change in <br /> zoning from a Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C), <br /> Lots 1-7, Parr-Hull Medical Plaza, being the 3300 Block of N. Main. <br /> <br /> The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br /> Ralph Beal, Route 10, Box 7250, Paris, Texas, appeared in behalf of his <br /> petition and stated that this project would certainly improve the quality <br /> of life in Paris, Texas. He said they will have commercial, medical <br /> offices and will eventually lead to residential development. Mr. Beal <br /> advised that the initial phase, Unit I and II will be commercial to <br /> include a hotel, medical offices, and possibly a hospital. The residential <br /> Unit will come later. <br /> <br /> There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br /> <br /> <br />
