Police Vehicles Currently Equipped With VCR Equipment: 14 <br />_ C. VCR's Requested From Texas Dept. of Public Safety (DPS): 10 <br /> D. VCR's Granted to the City of Paris by the Texas (DPS): 7 <br /> <br />- (II) Inspection and Maintenance of VCR Equipment <br /> <br />_ A. Officers Conduct Daily Inspections (Written Documentation) <br /> B. VCR Malfunctions are Reported Immediately (If Any) <br /> C. Vehicles Are Not Used When or if VCR Malfunctions <br />- D. Tapes Maintained According to Law (90 Days or Longer) <br /> E. Patrol Supervisors review every officer's traffic stop <br />_ recordings and documents same, (filed in Records) <br /> F. Current State of Equipment and Tape Allocation: Good. <br /> <br />- Still waiting on 7 VCR's granted by the State of Texas. Just recently <br /> purchased our second annual allotment of VCR tapes for all vehicles. It <br />_ is the policy of the Paris Police Department to discontinue use of any <br /> patrol vehicle when the VCR is inoperable in the Patrol Division. <br /> <br /> <br />
