PUBLISHED IN THE PARIS NEWS <br /> <br /> Racial Profiling Policy <br />_ ~ Ci.ty of Paris Police Department <br /> <br />_ It has always been, and continues to be, the policy of The City <br /> of Paris,.Paris, Texas to oppose racial Profiling in all forms. <br /> Pursuant to Texas House Bill 1074, passed by the Texas <br />- Legislature in 2001, the city of Paris Police Department has <br /> adopted a written policy opposing racial profiling. This written <br />- policy, which includes definitions of racial profiling and acts <br /> constituting racial profiling as well as a procedure for the <br />- receipt and investigation of complaints of acts of alleged racial <br /> profiling, became effective on January 1, 2002. If you would <br />_ like a copy of the policy, you may come by the Paris Police <br /> Department at 811 Bonham St., Paris, Texas and request a <br /> copy during regular business hours, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM <br /> Monday through Friday. You may also access the policy on the <br /> Internet (worldwide web) at the following address: <br />- www.ci.paris.tx.us (click on Directory, then click on Police <br /> Department). <br /> <br /> If you would like to make a written complaint in regards to <br />- alleged racial profiling, you may contact any officer of the <br /> .Paris Police Department and request a complaint form. The <br />_ form shOuld be filled out and turned in to any officer of the <br /> department.
