An evoluetion of each city's distribution system is <br />also being performed with the resLflts being incorporated <br />into the initial pricing structure for the merged utility <br />operation. The goal is development of a unified rate structure <br />equalized over a seven to ten year period. <br /> <br />Dallas Water Utilities <br />Retail Water Rate <br />Study <br />Dallas, Texas <br />Cad'er & Burgess is preparing a rate study for retail water <br />service. This includes revenue requirements and allocation <br />of cost to all customer classes. In addition, this project <br />includes a depreciation analysis of infrastructure assets to <br />review the useful lives of all of the department's assets for <br />water and sewer. Carter & Burgess is also developing cost <br />of service and design of water supply standby charges. <br /> <br />City of Longview Meter <br />Accuracy Tests <br />Longview, Texas <br />Severn Trent Pipeline Services conducted a study of six meters. <br />Velocih/profiles were taken and measured at each location. <br />The flow was measured at three di~erent flow rates to <br />determine performance flow of each meter. Twenty-four <br />hour flow measurements were also made at each location. <br /> <br />City of Corpus Christi <br />Meter Accuracy Tests <br />Corpus Christi, Texas <br />Severn Trent Pipeline Services conducted a study of four <br />meters. Velocity profiles were taken and measured at each <br />location. The flow was measured atthree different flow <br />rates to determine performance flow ofeach meter.
