He specializes in financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, asset <br /> management, in[ormation systems technology, operations management, organizational analysis, performance measurement and <br /> henchmarking. Mr. Shaw has performed more than 100 related financial analyses of utilities including rate studies, financial <br /> modeling, and review of impad and special fees. Mr. Shaw formerly directed KPMG Peat Marwick LLP's consulting services to <br /> government owned utilities from 1980 lhrough 1995. Before joining KPMG in 1980, Mr. Shaw was employed at a major <br /> metropolitan wale[ and wastewater utility as a Special Projeds Manager and as the Assistant DJ[eclat of Business where he <br /> supervised aJJ accounting, finance, rate, meter, information system, cuslomer service and budget adivities. Since, 1980, Mr. <br /> Shaw has completed an average of 40 hours per year of haining [ocusing on government and utilih/services, covering the <br /> fundions of financial management, information systems and operations management. He has been an adive participanl in <br /> AWWA activities since 1975. <br /> <br /> Operations Management Project Experience <br /> <br /> · SAWS I~valuafion and Assessment of Water & Wastewater Operations, San Antonio, TX; Project Manager. Providing a <br /> comprehensive evaluation and assessment of water and wastewater operations for lbe San Antonio Water System (SAWS) <br /> as parl of their Continuous Improvement Program.
