The following table represents the carrying capacity of the youth softball fields based on the
number of teams in Paris.
*The estimated number of teams in 2023 is based on double the City of Paris's 1.3% population growth per
year - a total of 2.6% increase per year.
Girls youth softball is predicted to grow over time and the Sports Complex has been designed to
support that growth. By 2023, two
200' fields will be needed for
youth softball and the complex
currently has two lighted 200'
fields and one unlighted 200' field.
In addition, the Sports Complex
Master Plan suggests that
additional fields be built in the
future to stay above the curve in
the growing sport.
Number of
Number of
Number of
Number of
Number of
Paris Sports Complex
a
r
Age Groups
Existing
Teams
Required
Teams
Required
Game Fields
Game Fields
Game Fields
1
2023
2013
2013
2023
U4 - U18
3
23
1
29
2
Total
3
23
1
29
2
*The estimated number of teams in 2023 is based on double the City of Paris's 1.3% population growth per
year - a total of 2.6% increase per year.
Girls youth softball is predicted to grow over time and the Sports Complex has been designed to
support that growth.
