GENERAL <br /> 1.1 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br /> 1.1.1 The asbestos abatement project for the City of Paris at <br /> the UARCO Building and City Hall/Old Fire Station, Paris, <br />-- Texas, covers the removal and disposal of asbestos- <br /> containing materials as follows: <br /> <br /> UARCO Buildin~ <br /> (A) Approximasely 3,100 1.f. of 3", 4", and 5" outside <br /> diameter piping insulation/fittings located at the <br /> ceiling level 5hroughout the old warehouse facility and <br />-- various areas above the office area. <br /> (B) Approximately 2,200-2,900 s.f. of 12" x 12" floor <br /> tiles located 5hroughout the front office area <br />_ (C) Approximately 400-500 s.f. of 9" x 9" floor tile <br /> located beneath carpet in two front offices <br /> <br /> Note: Ail Flooring and piping insulation throughout <br /> the UARCO building will be removed during this project. <br /> <br /> City Hall/Old Fire Station <br />-- (A) Approximately 100-200 s.f. of 12" x 12" floor tiles <br /> located in the basement storage of City Hall. <br /> (B) Approximately 100-200 s.f. of 12" x 12" floor tiles <br />_ located in the main floor storage of City Hall. <br /> (C) Approximately 100-150 s.f. of brown chip-pattern <br /> linoleum located in the upstairs bathroom of the City <br /> Hall ~ <br />-- (D} Approximately 25 s.f. of brown brick design ~ <br /> ~ linoleum located in the stair landing of the Fire //~_~ <br /> Station -- <br />-- (E) Approximately 50 s.f. of green square-patterned <br /> linoleum located in the upstairs storage area of the <br /> Fire Station <br /> <br /> 1.1.2 The contractor shall be responsible for verifying all <br /> quantities and field conditions in the field prior to <br />_ submitting his bid. <br /> <br /> 1.1.3 The contractor shall supply all supervision, labor, <br /> materials, services, insurance, licenses, patents and <br /> equipment necessary to carry out the work described <br /> herein. <br /> <br /> 1.1.4 Full differential pressure enclosures shall be <br /> established. The enclosures shall enclose all asbestos- <br /> containing flooring materials scheduled for removal which <br />-' are identified in Section 1.1.1. Where only TSI (piping <br /> insulation/fittings) is to be removed, a regulated area <br /> shall be established for all affected areas, which are <br />-- also ~dentified in Section 1.1.1.
