ERI Consulting, Inc. <br /> <br />-- 3.1.10.1 Enclosure systems have been constructed and tested. <br /> 3.1.10.2 Negative pressure ventilation systems are functioning <br /> <br /> adequately. <br /> <br /> 3.1.10.3 Ail pre-abatement submissions, notifications, postings and <br /> permits have been provided and are satisfactory to the Owner's <br /> <br />-- Representative. (See Section 1.6). <br /> <br /> 3.1.10.4 All equipment for abatement, clean-up and disposal are on <br /> hand. <br /> <br /> 3.1.10.5 All worker training, certification, and registration/licensing <br /> is completed. <br /> <br />-- 3.1.10.6 Contractor received written permission from Owner's <br /> <br /> Representative to commence abatement. <br /> <br /> 3.1.11 Alternative Procedures <br /> <br /> 3.1.11.1 Procedures described in this specification are to be utilized <br /> at all times. <br /> <br />-- 3.1.11.2 If specified procedures cannot be utilized, a request must be <br /> made in writing to the Owner's Representative providing <br /> details of the problem encountered and recommended <br /> alternatives. <br /> <br /> 3.1.11.3 Alternative procedures shall provide equivalent or greater <br /> protection than procedures that they replace. <br /> <br /> 3.1.11.4 Any alternative procedure must be approved in writing by the <br /> <br />-- Owner's Representative prior to implementation. <br /> <br /> 3.1.11.5 Alternative procedures may be specified in the Scope of Work. <br /> <br /> 3.2 Workplace ~ntry and Exit Procedures <br /> <br />-- 3.2.1 Personnel entry and exit <br /> <br /> 3.2.1.1 Ail workers and authorized personnel shall enter the work area <br />-- through the worker decontamination enclosure system. <br /> <br /> 3.2.1.2 All personnel who enter the work area must sign the entry log, <br /> located in the clean room, upon entry and exit. The type of <br /> respirator worn shall be noted. <br /> <br /> 3.2.1.3 All personnel, before entering the work area, shall read and <br /> <br />-- be familiar with all posted regulations, personal protection <br /> requirements (including workplace entry a/id exit procedures) <br /> and emergency procedures. A sign-off sheet shall be used to <br /> acknowledge that these have been reviewed and understood by <br /> all personnel prior to entry. <br /> <br />-- 3.2.1.4 /%11 personnel shall proceed first to the clean room, remove <br /> <br /> all street clothes and appropriately don respiratory <br /> <br />--- 4/11/03 65 <br /> <br /> <br />
