ERI Consulting, Inc. <br /> <br /> will be later re-entry into the work area or street clothes if <br /> it is the end of the work shift. <br /> <br /> 3.2.1.11 These procedures shall be posted in the clean room and <br /> equipment room. <br /> <br /> 3.2.2 waste container pass-out procedures <br /> <br /> 3.2.2.1 Asbestos contamination waste that has been containerized shall <br /> be transported out of the work area through the waste <br /> container pass-out. <br /> <br /> 3.2.2.2 Waste pass-out procedures shall utilize two teams of workers, <br /> an "inside" team and an "outside" team. <br /> <br /> 3.2.2.3 The inside team wearing appropriate protective clothing and <br /> respirators for inside the work area shall clean the outside, <br /> including bottoms, of properly labeled containers (bags, <br /> drums, or wrapped components) using HEPA vacuums and wet <br /> wiping techniques and transport them into the waste container <br /> pass-out airlock. No worker from the inside team shall <br /> further exit the work area through this airlock. <br /> <br /> 3.2.2.4 The outside team, wearing a different color protective <br /> clothing and appropriately assigned respirators, shall enter <br /> the airlock from outside the work are~, enclose the drums or <br /> bags in clean, labeled 6 mil polyethylene bags and remove them <br /> from the airlock to the outside. No worker from the outside <br /> team shall further enter the work area through this airlock. <br /> Each container shall be labeled with the name of the generator <br /> (owner), the location and the contractor's name. <br /> <br /> 3.2.2.5 The exit from this chamber shall be secured to prevent <br /> unauthorized entry. <br /> <br />3.3 Personnel Protection Requirements <br /> <br /> 3.3.1 Training <br /> <br /> 3.3.1.1 Prior to commencement of abatement activities, all personnel <br /> who will be required to enter the work area or handle <br /> containerized asbestos containing materials must have received <br /> adequate training in accordance with Part 4 Section 4.1 of <br /> this document. <br /> <br /> 3.3.1.2 Special on-site training on equipment and procedures unique to <br /> this job site shall be performed as required. <br /> <br /> 3.3.1.3 Training in emergency response and evacuation procedures shall <br /> be provided. <br /> <br /> 3.3.2 Respiratory Protection <br /> <br /> 3.3.2.1 Ail respiratory protection shall be provided to workers in <br /> accordance with the submitted written respiratory protection <br /> <br />4/11/03 67 <br /> <br /> <br />
