TARIFF FOR GAS SERVICE TXU GAS COMPANY <br /> <br />RATE SCHEDULE: 22 Service Rules and Regulations - Gas Service <br /> <br />APPLICABLE TO: Distribution System REVISION: 0 <br /> DATE: <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: PAGE: 2 of 10 <br /> <br /> (3) New Construction <br /> (a) Company will construct, install, operate, and maintain its plant, <br /> structures, equipment, and lines in accordance with the provisions of such Codes <br /> and standards as are generally accepted by the industry, as modified by rule or <br /> regulation of the applicable Regulatory Authority, or otherwise by law, and in <br /> such manner to best accommodate the public and to prevent interference with <br /> service furnished by other public utilities insofar as practical. <br /> (b) Company will seek to serve each qualified Applicant for service within its <br /> service area as rapidly as practical. As a general policy, those applications not <br /> involving line extensions or new facilities will be filled within seven (7) working <br /> days, and those applications for individual residential service requiring line <br /> extensions will be filled within ninety (90) days. unless unavailability of materials <br /> or other causes beyond the control of Company result in unavoidable delays. <br /> Do Meters <br /> (1) General <br /> (a) Unless otherwise authorized by the applicable Regulatory Authority, <br /> Company will provide and install, and will continue to own and maintain, all <br /> Meters necessary for the measurement of gas delivered to its Customers. <br /> Customer will provide space, without cost to Company, which is suitable for <br /> installation of Company's Meter and metering equipment. Company will instalt, <br /> or cause to be installed, communications equipment to allow for the electronic <br /> monitoring of metering equipment for each Point of Derivery to an Industrial <br /> Customer. Industrial Customers will reimburse Company, within ten days from <br /> receipt of Company's invoice, for any such communications or related metering <br /> equipment and associated equipment, and all labor and overhead expenses <br /> attributable to such equipment. Failure to reimburse Company, as provided <br /> herein, will allow Company to suspend Gas Service to the Industrial Customer at <br /> the applicable Point of Delivery. No metering equipment may be by-passed for <br /> any reason, without prior approval of Company. <br /> (b) All gas sold or transported by Company will be charged for by Meter <br /> measurements, except where otherwise provided for based upon applicable <br /> laws, regulation of the Regulatory Authority, or this Tariff for Gas Service. <br /> (c) Company will not furnish, set up, or put in use any Meter that is not <br /> reliable and of a standard type that meets generally accepted industry standards; <br /> provided, however, special Meters not necessarily conforming to such standard <br /> types may be used for investigation, testing, or experimental purposes. <br /> (2) Location of Meter <br /> Meters and associated equipment will be installed in a location suitable to Company and <br /> in such a way that a clear working space is provided on all sides. Meters for Residential <br /> Customers are to be located outside the building. Meter locations for nonresidential <br /> Customers normally will be outside the building at the property line. Inside locations may <br /> be permitted with prior written approvat of Company. Additional charges may be required <br /> <br /> <br />
