TARIFF FOR GAS SERVICE TXU GAS COMPANY <br /> <br />RATE SCHEDULE: 25 Service Rules and Regulations - Charges for Gas Service <br /> <br />APPLICABLE TO: Distribution System REVISION: 0 <br /> DATE: <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: PAGE: 2 of 5 <br /> <br /> Company may, but is not required to, offer an inducement for prompt payment of Residential or <br /> Commercial Customer bills by allowing a discount in the amount of five percent (5%) for payment <br /> of bills within ten (10) days after their issuance. This provision will not apply where it conflicts <br /> with existing orders or ordinances of the appropriate Regulatory Authority. <br /> (1) Billing Period <br /> Bills for Gas Service will be rendered monthly, unless otherwise authorized or unless <br /> service is rendered for a period tess than a month. Bills will be rendered as promptly as <br /> reasonable following the reading of Meters. Bills may be prorated for any partial months <br /> based upon the actual number ol= days during which Gas Service was received in relation <br /> to the number of days in the billing cycle. <br /> (2) Bill Format <br /> A Residential or Commercial Customer's bill will show all of the following information: <br /> (a) if the Meter is read by Company or its agent, the date and reading of the <br /> Meter at the beginning and end of the period for which the bill is rendered; <br /> (b) the number and kind of units billed; <br /> (c) the applicable Rate Schedule title or code; <br /> (d) the total base bill; <br /> (e) the total of any adjustments to the base bill and the amount of <br /> adjustments per billing unit; <br /> (f) the date by which Customer must pay the bill to get a prompt payment <br /> discount, if applicable; <br /> (g) the total amount due before and after any discount for prompt payment, if <br /> applicable, within a designated period; and <br /> (h) a distinct marking to identify an estimated bill. <br /> The above information will be arranged and displayed in such a manner as to allow the <br /> Residential or Commercial Customer to compute Customer's bill in accordance with the <br /> applicable Rate Schedule. <br /> (3) Estimates <br /> Bills may be estimated provided that an actual Meter reading is taken at least every six <br /> (6) months. If the Meter reader is unable to gain access to the premises to read the <br /> Meter on regular Meter reading trips, Company may request that Customer read the <br /> Meter and provide the Meter reading to Company. If the Meter reading is not received by <br /> Company in time for billing, Company may estimate the Meter reading and render the <br /> accordingly. <br /> (4) Residential Alternate Payment Plans <br /> <br /> -63- <br /> <br /> <br />
