MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> May 12, 2003 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Monday, May 12, <br />2003, 6:00 P.M. at Paris Junior College, Applied Technology Building, Room <br />1208, 2400 Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas. Mayor Curtis Fendley called the <br />meeting to order with the following Council Members present: Jim Bell, Jay <br />Guest, Joe E. McCarthy, Francine Neeley, Willie Weekly, Jr., and Benny Plata. <br />Also present was City Manager Michael E. Malone, City Attorney Larry W. <br />Schenk, and City Clerk Mattie Cunningham. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by City Councilman Willie Weekly. <br /> <br />Mayor Fendley announced that the City Council had been furnished minutes of <br />previous meetings, and asked if there were any corrections or additions. There <br />being none, a motion was made by Councilman Guest, seconded by Councilman <br />Bell for approval of the minutes. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone advised that the City Council had been furnished with the <br />minutes for the Paris Public Library Advisory Board, Paris Economic <br />Development Corporation, and the Building and Standards Commission with no <br />action being required. <br /> <br />The minutes for the Traffic Commission had also been furnished with the <br />recommendation of an ordinance revising the Traffic No-Parking Map adopted <br />in paragraph (b) of Section 31-65 of the Code of Ordinance of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, to include a No Parking area on 21st Street S.E. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2003-020 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE TRAFFIC NO- <br />PARKING MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (b) OF SECTION 31-65 OF <br />SAID CODE; ESTABLISHING A NO PARKING AREA; PROVIDING FOR <br /> <br /> <br />
