LEGAL NOTICE <br /> <br /> Call for Proposals <br />City of Paris <br />HISTORICAL SURVEY <br /> <br />PUBLISH PARIS NEWS <br /> DATE: July 17, 2003 <br /> DATE: July 24, 2003 <br /> <br />Phase I: <br /> A <br /> B. <br /> <br />Phase II: <br /> A. <br /> <br />Commercial <br />Define the historic character of Paris <br />Review and update to 2010 the Paris Commercial Historic District Survey of 1985 <br />1. Expand to include the new City of Paris Historic District boundaries of 2003 <br />2. Identify other commercial stand-alone structures in the City <br />Develop a City of Paris Preservation Plan for historic commercial properties, <br />including review of present related ordinances; commercial design and development <br />standards and guidelines with illustrations and examples; tax incentives; city marker <br />program; opportunities for economic development; and a public presentation to <br />commissioners and government leaders. <br />Website development <br />Education, including seminar for property owners, teaching aids and presentations <br />Submit copies of this report, prepared to Texas Historic Commission guidelines, <br />including photos, physical descriptions and mapped locations of properties, to City of <br />Paris leaders and THC. <br />Prepare grant application for Phase II. <br /> <br />Residential <br />Review and update to 2010 two residential National Register Districts of 1985 <br />1. Identify eligible stand-alone properties city-wide <br />2. Identify potential new districts in the City <br />Develop a City of Paris Preservation Plan for historic residential properties, including <br />review of City preservation standards, working with the Buildings and Standards <br />Commission and Planning and Zoning Commission; design and development guidelines <br />for residential areas; tax incentives; city marker program, and working with local non- <br />profits for revitalization of these neighborhoods. <br />Add residential survey information to website <br />Education, including seminar for Realtors, creation of audio/visual for students, clubs <br />and organizations. <br />Submit copies of this report, prepared to Texas Historic Commission guidelines, as in <br />Phase I. <br /> <br /> <br />
