MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MONDAY, MAY 5, 1997 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, May 5, 1997 at 5:30 in the City Hall - <br />Council Room, Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br />1. Reeves Hayter - Chairman 4. Cesar Horta <br />2. Eva Flenniken 5. Marshall Kent <br />3. Curtis Fendley 6. Joe McCarthy <br />Earl Smith, the City Engineer, was also present. <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. <br />1. The minutes from the April 7, 1997, regular council meeting were approved with a <br />motion by: Curtis Fendley and seconded by Eva Flenniken. The motion carried by <br />a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br />2. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Shabecka Wilson for a <br />change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a One Family <br />Dwelling District No. 3 With Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home, <br />on Lot 22, City Block 297, located at 1840 Butler. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Ms. Wilson, 2528 N-W. 19th, owns the property at 1840 Butler and wants to <br />move into a mobile home for herself at this location. <br />There are several mobile homes in this neighborhood. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made to approve the rezoning to One Family Dwelling District No. <br />3, (SF -3) With Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home. Motion was made by Joe <br />McCarthy and seconded by Marshall Kent. The motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes <br />and 0 nays. <br />3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of the City of Paris for a <br />change in zoning from a Multiple Family Dwelling District 1 (MF -1) to <br />a Public Lands and Institution District (PLI) on Lot 6, Block 135, <br />located at 600 S.W. 4th. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />
