MINUTES REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MONDAY, MAY 5, 1997 The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, May 5, 1997 at 5:30 in the City Hall - Council Room, Paris, Texas with the following members present: 1. Reeves Hayter - Chairman 4. Cesar Horta 2. Eva Flenniken 5. Marshall Kent 3. Curtis Fendley 6. Joe McCarthy Earl Smith, the City Engineer, was also present. The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. 1. The minutes from the April 7, 1997, regular council meeting were approved with a motion by: Curtis Fendley and seconded by Eva Flenniken. The motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. 2. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Shabecka Wilson for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a One Family Dwelling District No. 3 With Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home, on Lot 22, City Block 297, located at 1840 Butler. The public hearing was declared open. Ms. Wilson, 2528 N-W. 19th, owns the property at 1840 Butler and wants to move into a mobile home for herself at this location. There are several mobile homes in this neighborhood. There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. A motion was made to approve the rezoning to One Family Dwelling District No. 3, (SF -3) With Specific Use Permit (39) Mobile Home. Motion was made by Joe McCarthy and seconded by Marshall Kent. The motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. 3. Public Hearing to consider the petition of the City of Paris for a change in zoning from a Multiple Family Dwelling District 1 (MF -1) to a Public Lands and Institution District (PLI) on Lot 6, Block 135, located at 600 S.W. 4th. The public hearing was declared open.
