David Thomas, 3260 Clark Lane, wants to install a billboard at this location. <br />Earl Smith read a letter from Inella Chambless who was in opposition to the <br />petition, there were no appearances. <br />There was no other opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion recommendation was to approve the billboard at this location. Motion <br />was made by Curtis Fendley and seconded by Bobby L. Myers. The motion <br />carried by a vote of 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />4. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Don Wilson for a change in zoning <br />from Multiple Family Dwelling No. 1 (MF -1) District to Commercial (C) <br />District, Lot 7, Block 135, located at 418 W. Washington. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Don Wilson, 3110 Stacey Lane, to change zoning at 418 W. Washington to be <br />used for wedding receptions, special dinners and other special events. Parking has <br />been planned for fifty cars. No trees will have to be cut and parking will be <br />screened by bushes. Mike Folmar, 433 W. Washington, is happy that property will <br />be renewed and will increase properties. Pam Burton, 354 W. Washington, was <br />also in favor of the petition. <br />Jim Rheudasil, of Tyler, representing his aunt, Elsie Lane, opposed stating that he <br />would prefer that it would be lived in as a home. His concerns are commercial <br />zoning and the appearance of a parking lot in the neighborhood. <br />No further opposition, the public meeting was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Louis Yates, Jr. to approve the petition and seconded by <br />Bobby L. Myers. The motion carried by a vote of 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />5. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Deanna Cobb for a change in <br />zoning from a Single Family Two (SF -2) District to a Two Family (2F) <br />District, Lot 17, Block C, Eastfield Addition, located at 605 N.E. 34th. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Deanna Cobb, representing Mike Springer, spoke favorably of duplexes being built <br />in this location stating that all duplexes are across the street and she also suggested <br />the highest and best use of the property would be for duplexes. <br />James D.
