Regular City Council Meeting <br />August 11,2003 <br />Page 28 <br /> <br />telling him to wait and annex the property after he has everything done and he <br />would save all the fees, permits, and inspections. He said that it is not fair <br />what we have done in the past about not treating our people equal. Mayor <br />Neeley said they needed to fix the system because it is broke and they could <br />not annex it that year because they had annexed all they could. <br /> <br />There were no action on Agenda Item 8C through 8F. <br /> <br />City Attorney Schenk said that he needs a consensus vote tonight on setting <br />the public hearing on the City Manager's Proposed Budget. It was the <br />consensus of the City Council to defer setting the public hearing until the next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the City Council to have budget workshops on August <br />18, 2003, and August 19, 2003. <br /> <br />City Attorney Schenk presented the following petition for rezoning: Ronald <br />Kyle, Lots 1B and 1C City Block 315, from General Retail District to General <br />Retail District with Specific Use Permit (52) Signs and Billboards. <br /> <br />Mayor Fendley referred the petition to the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />for their study and recommendation at their meeting scheduled in September. <br /> <br />There being no further business, a motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem <br />McCarthy, seconded by Councilwoman Neeley, for adjournment.
