City Attorney <br />Schenk suggested setting a meeting August 14, 2003. Mayor Fendley stated <br />that these meetings have normally been at 6:00 P.M. The City Attorney said <br />he was fairly confident the City Council can have that budget hearing and post <br />that notice on the 13th of August, 2003, and they can continue these kinds of <br />meetings through the coming week and the following week. Mayor Fendley <br />said after having more time to look at the budget they will know more about <br />that Monday. Mayor Fendley said the rest of the dates that were on the <br />schedule from the prior agenda received from the last meeting with those <br />additions on the 11 th and 14th of August, 2003, were not a problem. <br /> <br />There was no action on Agenda Item 5E, record vote on a proposal to consider <br />tax increase for calendar year 2003 for the City of Paris. <br /> <br />There was no action on Agenda Item 6A, a resolution setting the time and date <br />for a public hearing on the City of Paris Proposed budget for fiscal year 2003- <br />2004; Agenda Item 6B, a resolution setting the time and date for a public <br />hearing on the proposed amendments to the City of Paris's proposed budget <br />for fiscal year 2003-2004; and Agenda Item No. 6C, a resolution setting a <br />public hearing on the proposed tax increase required to fund and balance the <br />proposed budget for fiscal year 2003-2004. <br /> <br />Mayor Fendley announced that the City Council could not have the Planning <br />and Zoning meeting until 6:00 P.M., because of the posting time and he <br />adjourned the meeting until 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Mayor Fendley reconvened the meeting at 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Mayor Fendley announced that the next item on the agenda is a public hearing <br />on the petition of Henry Starks for a change in zoning from a One-Family <br />Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a Multiple-Family Dwelling District No. 1 <br />(MF- 1) on Lot 18, City Block 259, located at 514 25th Street N.E., and this item <br />had been tabled at the meeting in July and a motion was needed to bring it from <br /> <br /> <br />
