Mr. Patel said another issue as Mr. Kyle pointed out the sign will be above his roof line and in that context he is trying to see that he does obstruct the Victorian Inn; however, his roof line is at 25 feet and if the billboard is going to be tops at 30 feet, that means he has to obstruct his building, so, it cannot be erected. Ann Gilliland came forward stating that she representing the Keep Paris Beautiful Committee. She said they asked her to appear and it is was a matter of record what she said on their behalf at not only the Planning and Zoning Commission, but before the City Council and she would like that to stand. Ms. Gilliland requested that the City Council deny this request. No one else appeared, and the public hearing was declared closed. Mayor Fendley advised that the next item was an ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance No. 1710, changing the zoning from a Commercial District ©) to a Commercial District©) With Specific Use Permit (52) Signs and Billboards on Lot 26, City Block 296. This item had been tabled at the last City Council meeting and a motion to bring it from the table was in order. A motion was made by Councilman Weekly, Neeley, to bring the above item from the table. nays. seconded by Councilwoman The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Plata to approve the zoning change. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Neeley. The motion failed with a 3 ayes, and 3 nays. Mayor Fendley announced that for anyone that does not have an opportunity to watch the City Council meeting they are available on tape and they can be checked out at the Paris Public Library. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by Mayor Fendley.
