A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PREPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER LINE REPLACEMENT TO BE CONNECTED TO THE SPRINKLER SYSTEM FOR A PORTION OF THE RODGERS WADE COMPLEX; AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION AND AWARD OF INFORMAL BIDS FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION; AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF DEDICATION AND FILING OF NECESSARY UTILITY EASEMENTS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City and Rodgers Wade Corporation have identified the need to upgrade and improve water service capabilities to meet new and increased demands at the Rodgers Wade Complex; and, WHEREAS, to address such needs, the City Council finds and determines that plans and specifications should be prepared by the City Engineer, with the title being given thereto of the "Waterline Replacement for Connection to Rodgers Wade Sprinkler Line Project," which plans and specifications upon completion should be implemented by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the preparation and implementation of such plans and specifications be approved, and such project should be authorized for solicitation for informal bids; and, WHEREAS, dedication of appropriate easements to the City by the Rodgers Wade Corporation should be authorized and approved to accommodate the construction of the upgraded and improved water service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the preparation and implementation of the plans and specifications for the "Waterline Replacement for Connection to Rodgers Wade Sprinkler Line Project" be, and the same is hereby, approved.
