DRAFT <br /> <br />F:kAttorney\LisakResolutions\CURRENT\Solid Waste Grant - Amend App.wpd <br /> January 5, 2004 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-176 TO AMEND THE GRANT APPLICATION <br />FILED WITH THE ARK-TEX COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS FOR A <br />REGIONAL SOLID WASTE GRANTS PROGRAM GRANT; MAKING <br />OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 8th day of <br />December, 2003, in Resolution No. 2003-176, authorize a grant application for a Regional Solid <br />Waste Grants Program Grant for fiscal year 2004 in the amount of $10,000.00, with $893.59 to <br />be provided by the City of Paris in the form of in-kind services, and a $5,000.00 cash match to <br />be provided by local resources; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because the City would like to serve as many citizens as possible, it is <br />deemed appropriate that the requested amount be increased to $20,000.00, with all matching <br />funds and in-kind services remaining the same as previously stated; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that said Resolution No. 2003-176 be revised to <br />amend said grant application; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That Resolution No. 2003-176, be, and the same is hereby, amended so that <br />such shall read as follows: <br /> <br />"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF A GRANT <br />APPLICATION WITH THE ARK-TEX COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS <br />FOR A REGIONAL SOLID WASTE GRANTS PROGRAM GRANT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO <br />ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PARIS IN ALL MATTERS RELATED <br />TO THE APPLICATION; PLEDGING THAT IF A GRANT IS RECEIVED, <br />THE CITY OF PARIS WILL COMPLY WITH THE GRANT <br />REQUIREMENTS OF THE ARK-TEX COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, <br />THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY, AND THE <br />STATE OF TEXAS; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ark-Tex Council of Governments, in conjunction with <br />the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, provides funding for the <br />Regional Solid Waste Grants Program; and, <br /> <br /> <br />
