Wade Zemlock
Electrical Engineering Intern
Years Experience: 5
Education: B.S., Electrical Engineering, Texas Tech University, 1998
Mr. Zemlock is experienced in electrical system design including SCADA systems,
medium voltage distribution systems for wastewater treatment facilities, water
treatment facilities, raw water pump stations, and wastewater lift stations.
Project Experience:
Water System Vulnerability Assessments - Brown County WID # 1 and the
Cities of Abilene, Beaumont, Carrollton, Denton, Corpus Christi, Garland, Irving,
Midlothian, Plano, Norfh Richland Hills, San Angelo and Temple, Texas. Reviewed
Water Utility Vulnerability Assessments related to power instrumentation and SCADA.
Provided not only recommendations for physical improvements, but also operational
and procedure changes.
Transfer Pump Station Electrical System Upgrade - City of Fort Worth
(Electrical Designer) - Update electrical system for an existing water treatment plant
in downtown Fort Worth. Design included routing power and control to three
2400V, 3 Phase 200hp motor; one 2400V, 3 Phase 250hp motor; reconnecting to
existing feeders; and providing power to a new pad-mounted oil-filled 750KVA,
2400V, 3hp transformer that serves a new 480V Motor Control Center (MCC). The
480V MCC serves one 150hp motor, one 125hp motor, one 75hp motor, one
30hp motor and an existing MCC vertical section that were to be re-used. The
project included wire and conduit sizing for medium voltage cables and switch and
fuse sizing for medium voltage. The 2400V MCC implements a main tie main
configuration on the incoming feeders.
Boiler Replacement, Electrical System Renovation - Tarrant County College
(Electrical Designer) - Renovate electrical system for an existing mechanical room for
Tarrant County College in Fort Worth. The project included removing existing boilers
and pumps, and placing new boilers, pumps and water heaters in the mechanical
room. The project also included determining what wire and conduit could be re-
used and what disconnects could be re-used. The scope of the project also included
checking circuit breakers to determine whether or not it had enough ampacity to
handle the new equipment.
Electrical System Design for New Bank - Bank Of America, Irving, Texas -
Design electrical system for a new bank in Irving. The project included load analysis,
lighting and power distribution, panel sizing, wire and conduit sizing, clearance of
electrical equipment, energy calculation, connect HVAC equipment, fire alarm
system, pneumatic controls and security system.
Electrical System Design for Building Renovation - Service King
Headquarters, Richardson, Texas - Design electrical system for a single story office
building renovation in Richardson. The project included lighting and power
distribution, panel sizing, wire and conduit sizing, clearance of electrical equipment,
Innovative approaches
connect HVAC equipment, fire alarm system, provide enough spare ampacity for
future expansion, and parking lot lighting.
