Mayor Fendley said they <br />were waiting for more responses. <br /> <br />The Council took a five minute break at 7:31 P.M. and reconvened at 7:36 P.M. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2004-003 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 26-1 OF <br />SAID CODE TO AUTHORIZE THE STAFFING LEVELS OF THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE, WAS READ. <br /> <br />City Manager Malone explained this would eliminate 2 police private positions. <br />Councilman Bell made a motion to adopt the ordinance, which was seconded <br />by Councilwoman Neeley.
