Call meeting to order Jill Drake 4:21 p.m. <br />2. Role taken. Quorum established. <br />3. Citizens Forum: consolidated with Item #5. <br />4. Approval of minutes of April 8, 2014. Motion to approve by Nancy Waldrum and second by <br />Beartrice Ardila. Motion carried. <br />5. BIG Application: Jed and Kara Irwin were present to answer any questions regarding their <br />request. The application is for $5,000 to help repair roof leaking and to upgrade the electric <br />circuit box. The Irwins plan to put a 24/7 Internet Cafe in the part of the building that is <br />currently the "sanctuary" of the old church. They hope the building will be code -ready by <br />2016 to open during the 2016 fire commemoration events. The Board has requested that the <br />Irwins provide a Business Plan to the Board for review. This item will be tabled until the <br />next meeting. Karie Raulston abstained from the discussion due to a conflict of interest. <br />6. Resignation of Ashlea Mattoon received and Board opening will be addressed in upcoming <br />City Council meeting. <br />7. Coordinator report: <br />a. TDA Regional Round Table was held April 22, 2014 9am - 2:30pm. Fifty professionals <br />attended to hear our Chamber describe our successful Shop Local program and took a <br />tour of downtown. <br />b. Design renderings were completed for 134 Kaufinan and 101 Grand Ave. A request was <br />made for a rendering for the removal of the facade in the old drive thru area at 124 1St <br />SW owned by Claudia and Richard Hunt. <br />c. Farmers Market opening day was a success. 300 - 400 — people came thru. The main push <br />for operating hours will be Saturdays from Sam to noon all summer and Wednesdays 5- <br />7pm beginning June and thru the second week of July. The market is open to vendors 7 <br />days a week, should they so desire. <br />d. Preservation Month Proclamation – Karie will provide details in Promotions report. <br />e. Grand Theatre: stucco and banding are up and the marqee is waiting to be installed. <br />
