f. Benches and trash receptacles have been places on Clarksville St and the plaques look <br />great! This is a continuing fundraiser with benches $975 and trash receptacles $775. <br />8. Committee Reports <br />a. Organization —Jill Drake reported this c'tee will take on the Pumpkin patch in October as <br />the Paris Baby owners are unable to continue with this event this year. A fundraising event <br />will be held on Sept 6 to raise funds for downtown restrooms and promote community art <br />projects. Thank you notes were sent to all volunteers of the Wine fest and Maxey Easter. <br />b. Design: The downtown business owners have been given a 6/20/14 date to pay a one time <br />$30 fee to have their name on the facade of the building on the brochure /map. The cost of <br />$3500 for 10,000 brochures /maps could be reduced if business owners will participate. <br />c. Promotions: Karie Raulston reported that a treasure hunt is in the works for Preservation <br />Month. Photos of "snippets" of buildings will be put out on a Facebook challenge entitled <br />"Getting to know your City ". After this event, postcards will be made of the photos and sold <br />as a fundraiser for downtown restrooms. The idea of "It's a Wonderful City" based upon the <br />movie, "It's a Wonderful Life" is being developed for a future preservation project. <br />d. ER: no report <br />e. HPC: Beatrice Ardilla reported that no meeting was held since the last board meeting. <br />f. Chamber: no report <br />9. 2016 draft letter was approved. Discussion held re: item on website for audio /video <br />remembrances of the fire <br />10.
