The Mayor and two City Council mem- <br />bers are elected at large while the remaining Coun- <br />cil members represent the four Council Districts of <br />the City, The Mayor and the two at-large City <br />Council members are elected for two year terms in <br />May of odd-numbered years and the four Council <br />Members representing the districts stand for elec- <br />tion in even numbered years. The City Charter has <br />a two term maximum for service. The incumbents <br />are: <br /> <br />. Councilmember <br /> <br />Among other duties, the City Council appoints a City Manager who directs the day-to-day opera- <br />tions of the City under guidelines and policies established by the City's elected officials. Under <br />the supervision of the City Manager is an authorized staff of 419 full time employees (all funds). <br />The general fund budget for the 2000-2001 fiscal year (October -September) is 25.1 million dol- <br />lars, plus a utility fund budget of 21.1 million dollars. <br /> <br />The City of Sherman is a full service municipal organization with the following organizational <br />structure and divisions: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />City Attorney - Public Records; Legal Services <br /> <br />.
