Thinks this has <br />served him well. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Describe your experience in the planning, management and implementation <br />of capital improvement projects. <br /> <br />He has been through two very significant CIP projects. The City has just <br />finishing construction of new $30 million wastewater treatment plant. Project has <br />been talked about for ten years. Bonds failed the first time. Passage took much <br />work and educating the public. This took almost a year and a half. Project was <br />overwhelmingly approved the second time. The City is also underway with major <br />expansion of the airport. The project included expansion of taxiways, site <br />preparation of new tenninal area (underway), and the construction of the new <br />tenninal facility. This project involved lots of negotiations with state and federal <br />officials. This project will also include major road expansions. The City adopted <br />a long-range water and sewer plan in 1997. This led to $10 million in water <br />system improvements every two years.
