AMENDED MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />June 23, 2014 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />June 23, 2014, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Matt Frierson <br />Council Members: Aaron Jenkins; Billie Lancaster; Benny Plata; <br />Edwin Pickle; and A.J. Hasbmi <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Kent McIlyar, City <br />Attorney; Katriana Wright, Deputy City Clerk; <br />Gene Anderson, Finance Director; Shawn Napier, <br />City Engineer; Bob Hundley, Police Chief, Larry <br />Wright; Fire Chief; Jerry McDaniel, Public Works <br />Director; and Doug Harris, Utilities Director <br />Absent: Council Member: Richard Grossnickle <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Frierson called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Pastor Bob Bush gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Council Member Jenkins led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' Forum. <br />Reverend James Price, 1230 Shiloh — he commended the City Council for the support of <br />his last proposal. <br />Cheri Bedford, Main Street Coordinator — she said that Paris would be host to Good <br />Morning Texas on July 7 from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. on the Plaza. <br />Dr. Robert Moseley, 3915 Shannon Drive — played the May 19 recorded statement of <br />Mayor Frierson regarding the role of the mayor. He said he read the information about the <br />PEDC investigation and he would like to see a uniformed council. <br />
