Mary Davenport, 1350 W. Houston Street, spoke in opposition of the petition. Mrs. <br />Davenport stated she had concerns if the commission allowed this mobile home to <br />be placed at 1838 Maple Avenue it might attract more mobile homes in the area. <br />Sue Lancaster, 1020 Bonham Street, spoke in opposition of the petition. Mrs. <br />Lancaster stated allowing this mobile home would be a step in the wrong direction. <br />Margie Bell, Paris, Texas, Holland Harper read her letter into the record in <br />opposition of the petition. Mrs. Bell has concerns about the up keep on the mobile <br />home and the market value on the neighborhood might decrease. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by John Lee, seconded by Mike Folmar to deny the petition. Motion <br />carried 6 -0. <br />6 Public hearing to consider the petition of Terry Arnold for a change in zoning from a <br />One - Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) to One - Family Dwelling District No. 3 (SF -3) <br />with a Specific Use Permit (39- Mobile Home) on Lot 2, Block 8, Maxey Addition, being <br />located at 1631 West Campbell. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. No one spoke in favor of the petition. <br />B. Several individuals spoke in opposition. <br />Ruth Dockins, 1810 Fairfax, spoke in opposition of the petition. Mrs. Dockins <br />stated she had concerns about the up keep on the mobile home and the market value <br />on the neighborhood might decrease. <br />Sue Lancaster, 1020 Bonham Street, spoke in opposition of the petition.
