MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PARIS ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br /> May 19, 2004 <br /> <br />The Paris Economic Development Corporation met in regular session on <br />Wednesday, May 19, 2004, 4:00 P.M., at Paris Junior College, Bobby R. <br />Walters Applied Technology Building, Room 1206, 2400 Clarksville Street, <br />Paris, Texas. President Don Wall called the meeting to order with the <br />following Directors present: Sims Norment, Mike Dunn, Richard Severson, and <br />Rodney Bass. Also, present was Executive Director Gary Vest, Assistant <br />Director Erik Roddy, Ex-officio Members Pam Anglin, Mayor Curtis Fendley, <br />Tanis Hager, Interim City Manager Terry Townsend, Assistant City Attorney <br />John Lestock, and City Clerk Mattie Cunningham. <br /> <br />President Wall called for the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting <br />of April 14, 2004. A motion was made by Director Severson, seconded by <br />Director Bass for approval of the minutes. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />President Wall called for the financial report. <br /> <br />Gene Anderson, Director of Finance for the City of Paris, came forward <br />presenting the Board with a sales tax report since he has received the May <br />payment. Mr. Anderson advised that compared to last year at this same time, <br />they had $10,638.00 which is 1.69% increase year-to-date over last year. He <br />said if they would look at the last four months they were ahead of the previous <br />rate for the same months. <br /> <br /> Mr. Anderson advised that he had also provided the Board with the March and <br /> April cash flow statement. Mr. Anderson said the only thing out of the ordinary <br /> that showed up in March was the bond debt payment and that is not out of the <br /> ordinary. The other expenditures were normal payments. He advised that in <br /> April there was little activity at all. <br /> <br /> <br />
