He said that Mr. <br />Vest would become familiar with the process and they will become familiar with <br />him, because they are going to come back and build more fish hatcheries. They <br />did not know how many, but there will be more fish hatcheries, and the one they <br />are going to build now is going to be in southeast Texas. Mr. Vest advised that <br />they are putting together a proposal and will submit it to the Texas Parks and <br />Wildlife Foundation, but when they get to the point when the PEDC is in the <br />target area, the PEDC will submit a proposal on Pat Mayse Lake. Mr. Vest said <br />that they were going to make contact with the Corp and start identifying what <br />they could do to submit a proposal on Pat Mayse. He said he had talked with <br />Mayor Fendley and County Judge Superville and they were in favor of this. <br /> <br /> He said that this resolution is their support for this current proposal. <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 2004-004, resolving that the Board of Directors of the Paris <br /> Economic Development Corporation support the East Texas Fish Hatchery site <br /> for the Parks and Wildlife Foundation of Texas, was presented. <br /> <br /> A motion was made by Director Dunn, seconded by Director Bass, for approval <br /> of the resolution. The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br /> President Wall called for discussion and guidance to PEDC staff regarding <br /> proposed preliminary 2004-2005 fiscal year's budget. <br /> <br /> Mr. Vest explained that every year they have to approve their budget and with <br /> Erik's help they stepped it up some this year. He prese.nted the preliminary <br /> budget to the Board Members to look at and next month'they would adopt the <br /> budget.
