MINUTES <br /> <br /> SPECIAL MEETING <br /> CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br /> LAMAR COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br /> COMMUNITY ROOM <br /> 1125 BONHAM STREET <br /> PARIS, TEXAS <br /> WEDNESDAY, MAY 12, 2004 <br /> 12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br /> <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by <br /> Member Paul Denney at 12:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> A. The following members were present: <br /> Paul Denney <br /> Sue Lancaster <br /> Claudia Hunt <br /> Jerry Raper <br /> Alternates: Brian Wear <br /> Becki Norment <br /> <br /> B. The following members were absent: <br /> Arvin Starrett, Chairman <br /> Barbara Wilson, Vice-Chairman <br /> Ann Rodgers, Secretary <br /> <br /> C. Also present was Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer. <br /> <br /> Mr. Denney advised the Commission that, in the absence of the Chairman and <br /> Secretary, temporary appointments would need to be made. Mr. Denney <br /> called for nominations for a Temporary Chairman. Motion to appoint Paul <br /> Denney was made and seconded. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br /> Motion to appoint Sue Lancaster was made and seconded. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />2. Discussion of and possible action on approving the foflowing Certificates of <br /> Appropriateness: <br /> <br /> A. Kit Lindsey and Jennifer Long, representing The Moore Law Firm, <br /> L.L.P. 120 N. Main Street. Motion to approve the Certificate of <br /> Appropriateness was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by Claudia <br /> Hunt. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br /> <br />
