SPECIAL MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />107 E. KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, AUGUST 28, 2014 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK PM <br />The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Jack Ashmore, Chairman, at <br />5: 30 p. m. <br />A. The following members were present: Ray Ball, Matt Birch, Dennis Ashby, Jack <br />Ashmore and Chris Fitzgerald <br />B. The following members were absent: Gary Tolleson and Phillip Payne <br />C. Also present was: Shawn Napier, Airport Director; Jerry Richey, Airport Manager; <br />Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager; and Ashley Fendley, City Staff. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (July 17, 2014) <br />Motion was made by Ray Ball seconded by Dennis Ashby to approve the minutes for July <br />17, 2014 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Report from Shawn Napier, Airport Director. <br />Shawn Napier discussed the handouts which included a map of the cox field terminals and <br />leases, hangar rental list, hangar lease expiration dates and a table regarding the cost of t- <br />hangars in surrounding areas compared to cox field. Mr. Napier further stated he is <br />working with Kent McIlyar, City Attorney on the hangar lease, an aircraft related <br />business lease and an industrial /commercial building lease policy. <br />4. Discussion session regarding proposed Cox Field Planned Development Airport Zoning <br />District Ordinance. <br />Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager presented the Cox Field Planned Development Airport <br />Zoning District Ordinance to the board members. <br />Part A. Goals and Objectives — This provides support for the permitting, not permitting, <br />or the requirement of Specific Use Permits for various land uses. The unique relationship <br />of aircraft activity in proximity to various land uses requires particular protections in <br />conjunction with developmental opportunities. <br />Part B. — Environmental Evaluation — This section strongly encourages all prospective <br />
