Back Taxes Owed: $8103.08 <br />Robert Talley met Mr. White's wife at the property. Mrs. White said she would <br />discuss the situation with her husband and get back to Robert and he hasn't heard <br />back from them. <br />Robert Talley stated the foundation is rotten, it has a sagging roof, the front porch <br />is falling in, the siding is swelling up, there's a large hump in the roof and holes in <br />the walls. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish if not the City has the <br />right to demolish and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />Motion was made by Wendell Moore, seconded by Sally McEwin to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />E. 2635 & 2645 E Price; City Block 255 -A, Lot 7 & 8 <br />Owner: Joseph H & Reba J Rayn 1795 Fairfax St. Paris, TX 75460 <br />Back Taxes Owed: $38445.48 No taxes have been paid since 1992. <br />No Contact with Owner <br />Robert Talley stated that there are two houses and a shed. Trees have grown in the <br />first structure, it's unsecure with missing and deteriorated wood, the foundation is <br />damaged, there are holes in the roof and the roofs leaking, and the structure has <br />lots of junk and rubbish in it. <br />Robert Talley stated the second structure is brick and the bricks are broken, the <br />foundation is damaged, it's unsecure, the inside has lots of damage and large <br />holes are in the ceiling. <br />Robert Talley stated the shed is falling in and with lots of deterioration. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 30 days to demolish all three structures <br />and 10 days to secure the structures if not the City has the right to demolish <br />and apply a $1000 per day civil penalty. <br />There was a discussion on securing the structures and the cost of the project. <br />Motion was made by Chad Lindsey, seconded by Wendell Moore to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 6 -0 <br />4. Code Enforcement update. <br />(1). Mr. Talley stated that there were five (5) structures demolished in October <br />and that several structures were moved up on the list due to being a threat. <br />(2). Chad Lindsey asked about the 2012 structure status. Several are on the list to <br />be demolished this month and one is in court. <br />(3).
