MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING STREET & DRAINAGE COMMITTEE November 2, 1987 The Street and Drainage Committee met in special session, Monday, November 2, 1987 at 4:00 P. M., City Manager Conference Room, City Hall. Chairman Burnett called the meeting to order with the following members present: Councilman Marshall H. Kent, Jr., and Councilman Travis Wortham. Also present was City Manager, Michael E. Malone, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. Chairman Burnett announced the meeting was called for the purpose of considering priorities for City recommendation to the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation for improvements to be done through the Federal Aid to Urban System Program as instructed by the City Council. City Manager Malone said the city staff had prepared a priority list which was presented by Director of Public Works, B. A. Huddleston as follows: Priority #1 - No City Participation Cost Required Completion Time: Summer 1988 Proposed Work: 1 -112" H.M.A.C. street overlay with milling, level -up and traffic markings as required. 1. Graham Street, 11th N. W. to 19th N. W. S.Y. 8768 @ $3.50 = $30,688.00 2. 33rd Street S. E., Lamar to Clarksville S.Y. .18134 @ $3.75 = $68,002.00 3. Collegiate, Lamar to Clarksville S.Y. 16059 @ $3.75 = 60,221.25 4. Collegiate, Clarksville to Jefferson Road S.Y. 18554 @ $3.75 = $69,577.50 5. 24th Street S. E., Clarksville to Railroad S.Y. 9061 @ $3.75 = $33,978.75 6. Pine Bluff, 17th N. E. to 20th N. E. S.Y. 2958 @ $3.25 = $9,613.50 7. 3rd Street S. W., Grand to Kaufman S.Y. 751 @ 3.25 = $2,440.75 Total Estimated Cost $274,582.25 Priority #2 - City Participation Cost requires Completion Time: Approximately 2 -3 years Proposed Work: New Construction - 44' Curb and Gutter Section, grading, base, H.M.A.C. surface, storm sewer, Traffic markings and railroad grade crossing improvement.
