Assistant Chief Barnett explained that this
request was made by Billy Toliver of 2211 College Street, phone No. 784 -2414 due
to people parking on both sides of College Street during events at Noyes Stadium.
With vehicles parked on both sides of the street residents in the area felt that
fire trucks and other emergency vehicles would not be able to get to them. There
are two residences that would be denied parking if the requested No Parking Zone
is placed. Assistant Chief Barnett said he had received a letter from one of the
residents, Evelyn W. Webb of 2301 College Street in support of the No Parking Zone
and had talked with the other resident by phone and he /she also supported the re-
quest.
After discussion Charles Thompson made a motion that the No Parking Zone be estab-
lished as requested.
