MINUTES <br />TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />Tuesday, November 4, 1997 <br />5:15 o'clock P.M. <br />Council Room - City Hall <br />Paris, Texas <br />The Traffic Commission met in regular session Tuesday, November 4, 1997 with the following <br />members present: <br />1. Charles Thompson 4. Edward Ellis <br />2. Rickey Mackey 5. George Robinson <br />3. Cleo Holmes <br />The City Staff was represented by Assistant Police Chief James Barnett. <br />Chairman George Robinson called the meeting to order at 5:17 P.M. <br />The Minutes of previous meetings were approved as submitted. <br />The only item for consideration was a request for Stop Signs on Cleveland Street at 33rd S.E. <br />stopping East and West bound vehicles on Cleveland Street at 33' Street S.E. Assistant Chief <br />Barnett reported that this request was made by a resident of the area who said it was hard to tell <br />at night that you were entering an intersection. A drive through of the area indicated that there is <br />an open area at this intersection and might be a hazzard for some drivers at night. He <br />recommended the request be granted. <br />After discussion Rickey Mackey made a motion that the Stop Signs be placed as requested. Ed <br />Ellis seconded and the motion carried 5 ayes to 0 nays. <br />The meeting adjourned at 5:22 P.M. <br />W-- <br />J mes Barnett <br />
