MINUTES TRAFFIC COMMISSION Tuesday, August 3, 1993 5:15 P.M. Council Room - City Hall Paris, Texas The Traffic Commission met in regular session Tuesday, August 3, 1993 with the following members present: 1. Ed Ellis 4. David Gilbert 2. Billy Trenado 5. Richard Fuller 3. Tom Kolko 6. Pauline Franklin Assistant Police Chief James Barnett was also present representing the city staff. The minutes of the December 1, 1992 and the July 6, 1993 meetings were approved as submitted. A request to remove the No Parking Zone in front of 581 Clement Road was considered. After discussion that there is a No Parking Zone on both sides of Clement Road in this area because it is near the North entrance to the Fair Grounds and Rodeo Arena and was placed there be- cause of past problems when vehicles parked on the road of getting em- ergency vehicles through the area Tom Kolko made a motion to deny the request. Ed Ellis seconded and the motion carried 5 ayes to 0 nays. Richard Fuller arrived at this time. Next a request to establish a Handicapped Parking Space on the West side of the street in the 600 block of 3rd N.E. was considered. This space is to begin 78 feet South of the South curbline of E. Tudor St. extending to the South 20 feet. After learning that the space was to be in front of Maxey Funeral Home and was requested by them to allow handicapped persons the closest space to the chapel Richard Fuller made a motion to recommend the Handicapped Parking Space as requested. Paul- ine Franklin seconded and the motion carried 6 ayes to 0 nays. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 5:18 P.M. ames Barnett
