MINUTES <br />TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />TUESDAY,JUNE 3,1986 <br />5:15 P.M. <br />COUNCIL ROOM - CITY HALL <br />PARIS,TEXAS <br />The Traffic Commission met in regular session Tuesday, June 3,1986, with the <br />following members present: <br />1. Lynn Hitt <br />2. Judy Lutz <br />3. Charles Thompson <br />4. Zephania Gibson <br />5. Paul Wood <br />6. Frank Sherman <br />7. Gerald Byas <br />The City Staff was represented by Assistant Chief of Police James Barnett. <br />The minutes of the May 6,1986 meeting were approved as submitted. <br />A, request for angle parking on the East side of 1st S.W. between W. Austin and <br />W. Sherman streets was considered first. <br />Joe McCollum and Bill Lightfoot appeared-and spoke in favor of the request. <br />James Barnett recommended the request be denied. After discussion Paul Wood made <br />a motion to allow the angle parking as requested. Zephania Gibson seconded the <br />motion and it passed 7 ayes to 0 nays. <br />Second, a request for "Four Way Stop Signs" at 25th <br />considered. <br />After the discussion Chairman Thompson called for a <br />the request died. Gerald Byas recommended that any <br />removed near this intersection. <br />Next a letter from the State Department of Highways <br />concerning traffic signals at Pine Mill and Loop 28 <br />N.E. and E.
