VISITORS & CONVENTION COUNCIL COMMITTEE MEETING
April 11, 1988
The Visitors and Convention Council Committee met in Special session,
Monday, April 11, 1988, 4:00 P. M., Conference Room, City Hall. Mayor
Billy Joe Burnett called the meeting to order with City Manager, Michael
E. Malone, Director of Finance, W. E. Anderson, and City Clerk, Mattie
Cunningham present.
Mayor Burnett advised that the meeting was called for the purpose of
approving the budget for the Paris Visitors and Convention Council for
the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1988.
Director of Finance, W. E. Anderson presented a Shared Expense Schedule
furnished by the Chamber of Commerce showing the estimated expenditures
for 1987 -88.
After discussion, it was the consensus of the Committee that additional
information was needed, and possibly a meeting with Richard Chamberlain,
Manager of the Chamber of Commerce, before the proposed budget for the
Paris Visitors and Convention Council could be approved.
The time and place of the next meeting will set at a later date
when the additional information has been received.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
BILLY J. BURNETT, MAYOR
ATTEST:
MATTIE CUNNINGHAM, CITY CLERK
