I would <br />like to have another meeting of this committee on a different time. <br />We will not set that date today, but we need to have another <br />meeting. Everyone needs to go off and think seriously about <br />everything that went on. I am very sorry that I was late, but I almost <br />choked and I had to go to the emergency room. Anyway, we need <br />to have another meeting. If Mr. Malone and his staff can come up <br />with something that this entire committee will agree on, that would <br />be fine. You and Mr. Anderson can work on that. Mr. High has some <br />very, very good intelligent and good suggestions today. When <br />need an employee, I just call HR and tell them, you know, they sent <br />them to me, which makes it a lot easier because I've got so many <br />jobs. But, this has been an on -going problem for us, hiring <br />minorities, and I do know it is a two fold problem. It is a problem <br />that is hard for you guys, and it is hard for us to when they get so <br />excited about it, and you tell them its a test involved, then they won't <br />go. But, there is some kind of way around that that we can do <br />something to get them trained, oriented, and wanting to do these <br />jobs. I think we should go off a couple of weeks and think about it <br />and when you come back, have some good suggestions. And, I <br />think it was a good meeting. Does anybody have anything they want <br />to add to it, this is the time, and then we will have a motion to <br />disband and go home. <br />Webb Just one thing, Texas A &M in January, the third weekend in January <br />they have a Southwestern Black Leadership Conference. <br />Burgin In College Station. <br />Webb College Station. that I go to every year. There will be anywhere <br />1,500 to 2,000 blacks thereat that conference. They have a career <br />fair. That might be something that you want to check into. <br />
