Ms. Lewis is preparing a bibliography of books for <br />children in "special circumstances" which will be available to parents and <br />caregivers soon. <br />The Board recommended unanimously, upon motion by Kathie Gibbs and <br />second by Frances Ellis, to hold Amnesty beginning Wednesday, November <br />22 through Friday, December 29. During that period, all overdue materials <br />may be returned without incurring late charges. Patrons will be informed with <br />signs inside the Library and a notice in the newspaper. <br />A National Family Literacy Day celebration will take place Wednesday, <br />November 1 and Board members received an invitation to the special <br />activities scheduled at the Early Childhood Development Center and the <br />Library. <br />National Children's Book Week will be Tuesday, November 14 through <br />Saturday, November 18 and will include daily programs featuring storytimes, <br />puppet plays, and crafts. <br />Friends President Kathie Gibbs reported plans for the upcoming luncheon <br />were completed and a sell -out crowd was expected. <br />The meeting adjourned at 4:55 PM <br />Frances Ellis, Secretary Date Approved <br />
