PAGE 2 <br />LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD MINUTES APRIL 7, 1999 <br />Chairman Alsobrook officially thanked Catherine Browning for her years of service as Friends <br />President. New President Jimmye Hancock reported the March 29 luncheon was a success with <br />184 paid attendees. The proceeds were approximately $1,516 and would be used for summer <br />reading program expenses. She also advised the other officers will be, Elizabeth Neumann, <br />Vice - President; DeEtte Cobb, Secretary; and Gerry Corriston, Treasurer. <br />Beverly Lewis advised she recently presented a book review of Tom Brokaw's The Greatest <br />Generation to the Paris -Lamar Retired Teachers Association. <br />The May meeting will be delayed until the 26th due to scheduling conflicts. <br />The meeting adjourned at 4:50 PM. <br />OA2C `N <br />Beverly Lewis, Acting Secretary Date Approved <br />
