Library Advisory Board <br />June 23, 2004 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE LIBRARY <br />ADVISORY BOARD <br />June 23, 2004 <br />The Paris Public Library Advisory Board met in regular session <br />Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at 4:OOPM at the home of Nancee Salzman, 634 <br />LCR# 42200 Chairman Nancee Salzman presiding. The following Board <br />members were present: Jackie Alsobrook, Bill Kennedy, Nancee Salzman, <br />Peggy Guthrie, Deborah Hatley, and Walter Williams. Also attending was <br />Betty Landon, Library Director and Priscilla McAnally, Assistant <br />Director. Anna Davis, Sara Gambill, and Carl Lucas did not attend. <br />The minutes from the May meeting were approved. <br />Bill Kennedy and Sarah Gambill served as a nominating committee. Bill <br />Kennedy presented a slate of officers for the upcoming year to include: <br />Nancee Salzman to continue serving as Chairman; Carl Lucas as Vice <br />Chairman, and Deborah Hatley as Secretary. <br />The budget report was favorable. A leak in the library roof was sealed and <br />a new HVAC unit installed. <br />May statistics were dow from last May 1.7 %. Children's programming <br />had 14 programs with/' children and 43 adults attending. In Children's <br />Outreach, 6 programs were held with 87 children attending and 45 adults. <br />In adult outreach, there was one program given at Sterling House which 6 <br />people attended. There were 36 interlibrary loans. We had 16 memorials <br />given for a total of $476.50. <br />
